I work as a Youth Support Worker and today I was asking students at my local college what they think the campus should have more of. One of the international students from China, who spoke very little english and was very shy, peeped out one word. "Boys" IMMD
I went on a field trip today to downtown Denver. Right as our class was about to get on the bus a guy in a gingerbread man suit ran buy and gave us all high-fives. about 30 seconds later another guy came running by, but this time dressed as the cookie monster. It made my day.

My dad fought in Vietnam twice. He stayed in the Army 30+ years. Recently, when my mom got sick, he had to do something that required him to be brave again…he had to pick up groceries. He was so very proud when he told me how he bought bread and soup. In all his 65 years, he's never had to do anything so domestic. But to see him glow when he recounts all the new things he learns about daily life totally IMMD!
Yesterday, I ran my first race after healing from a broken ankle. It was two laps around a half-mile track, and on the second lap I was starting to fall behind. My coach, who calls me "rainbow" because I always wear a rainbow bracelet, shouted "Come on Rainbow, show me some dash!" That lifted my spirits enough to get fifth place (out of 25) and the reference MMD!
My old clunker car finally broke down and I don't have money for a new one. I'm borrowing my parents car but they've said I need my own car by the end of the year. I was worried about this until I realized that 1) I should be scheduled for a raise in December 2) minimum wage goes up in January and 3) with change in class schedule I should have more open hours for work next semester, so I'll be able to make payments. The problem isn't solved but seeing a solution in the future MMD
Today is my 25th birthday. As my boyfriend had not yet picked up his phone after misplacing it I was not expecting a birthday call.

6 weeks ago I moved from my homeland to Finland, the country I always wanted to live in. Finally getting where I always wanted to spend the rest of my life totally made my last weeks and will hopefully continue to do so for a very long time!
