SuperSub’s Little Moment of Win

Oct. 4, 2011

While substitute teaching an art class, one student asked if it was okay to listen to music while they were finishing a drawing, and I said it was okay. While the music was playing from the computer I changed the next song to "Never Gonna Give You Up" All the students laughed and thought it was really funny. Rickrolling my students and seeing them laugh MMD

funny win story - learningtodrive's Little Moment of Win

My dad took me to our church where the parking lot is huge and always empty except when there's events. He pulled over and he gave me the keys. I had just gotten my permit and he had been sick earlier in the week. He taught me to drive and I did really good (or so he said). I don't see him a lot because of his job and marching band, so having him teach me how to drive really MMW.

John’s Little Moment of Win

Jun. 24, 2011

Years ago I taught a friend of mine how to make Chain mail armor. I haven't seen her in years. Yesterday, I got to meet up with her and see that not only is she doing well but she's a full time Smith, and her skills have surpassed mine. Knowing the student is now the teacher, made my day.

funny win story - hopefulhorserider's Little moment of Win

I went to a dressage (a type of horse riding) clinic a couple days ago and it was taught by Leslie Reid who is an olympian, because of this and because I am only 14 and riding a rather opinionated young horse I was really nervous. Plus everyone else riding was on trained horses and at least two years older than me. I had two lessons with her and although they went well, I didn’t think she thought I was all that good but at the end of my second lesson I learned that she told my mom that she wanted to teach me once my other (more experienced) horse recovered from his injury. Needless to say, I was not expecting this. IMMMonth

Upstairs Neighbor’s Little Moment of Win

Apr. 20, 2011

After an exceptionally horrible day at work (I teach in an inner-city school district) I arrived home to a baggie full of mini cupcakes from the sweet little old lady who lives in the apartment below me… her thoughtfulness sweetened my attitude and totally MMD!

katie’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 17, 2011

I teach high school English to 17 year olds, and needless to say, getting them interested in Shakespeare's Othello is a struggle. Yesterday, I overheard one of my students telling his friends that he brought the play home and read ahead. That alone MMD since this kid is actually known for being a tough guy. But my day got even better when all of his friends gathered around him and begged to hear what happened. Their enthusiasm for Shakespeare MMYear!

FinallyAppreciated’s Little Moment of Win

Oct. 28, 2010

After 4 years of teaching intro astronomy to bored undergraduates and school groups, a 14 year old girl walked up to me after a workshop and said that she is now fascinated & wants to learn more. IMMD.
