I've always had self-esteem issues and I always thought that no one really liked me. Well A few months ago I was at a music camp and I had to sing infront of a bunch of people. Well, I thought I didn't do very well but after I was done a whole bunch of people told me that I sounded amazing! And at the end of the week, when we were leaving, These two guys came up to me and made sure I was coming back next year and gave me hugs. I didn't even know their names. I'll never forget them. They MML

My 10 yr old has Downs and has recently discovered that he loves music. His older brother was teasing him (and me) about our choice in music, which is very eclectic. I told big brother that we like anything even Elvis. I put my phone on youtube and my little one and I proceeded to rock out and dance to Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock all the way to school. Having a 50's dance party in the car on the way to school with my son totally MMD.
While substitute teaching an art class, one student asked if it was okay to listen to music while they were finishing a drawing, and I said it was okay. While the music was playing from the computer I changed the next song to "Never Gonna Give You Up" All the students laughed and thought it was really funny. Rickrolling my students and seeing them laugh MMD

While I was driving home from some saxophone practice today, I was listening to some classical music. Being a bit bored with that, I tuned the station a notch. I found out that the one right below it was the same station, albeit slightly behind and with a different background noise. I then proceeded to quickly switch back and forth between the two, creating a techo-remix of the rest of the song. ItMadeMyDrive.

Jenny George is a Seattle woman who was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 12 years old. She was given less than 30 days to live. She endured three years of treatment, and during each procedure, she listened exclusively to her favorite band, Duran Duran. She beat the cancer. Today, she is an advocate for cancer research and treatment, and partially credits the band for providing her with the strength and inspiration it took to beat leukemia.
Since then, Jenny has always dreamed of meeting the band. When they heard Duran Duran would be coming to the Seattle area, Jenny’s friends set out to make her dream come true. They set up a Facebook page hoping to get the attention of someone who could help. After reading her story, a few people reached out to contacts within the music industry asking for their help in fulfilling Jenny’s wish. It worked. One long, suspenseful month later, the dream is coming true. Jenny meets the band at their concert this Friday.
I was on my usual, everyday walk yesterday and my ear buds, as usual, were slipping out of my ears. As I tried to re-adjust them without stopping an elderly woman passed me in the other direction. She held up a fist and yelled "CRANK IT!" IMMD!
