I'm a grad student getting through school on an assistantship. I just got a small increase in my stipend, and my mom's birthday is coming up…so I bought her some gifts she won't expect. Knowing she'll be surprised MMD
My 8-year-old son is always asking me for money to buy something or other. I give him jobs to do so he can learn that he has to earn money if he wants it. Today, we were walking in town and a man in front of us dropped a 20 dollar bill. My son ran to pick it up, and before I could say anything, ran up to the man and said “mister, you dropped this.” Seeing my boy be so kind and knowing he’s learning some of the lessons I try to teach him MMD.

One day, I was completely broke and had empty cupboards, so I skipped breakfast and had packed a skimpy lunch. I was totally bummed about it, until the local Chipotle called my work (and I answered the phone) to tell us that we had won the drawing for free lunch for our staff. Having a full tummy during hard times MMD.

Money has been tight lately, and I was dreading filling up my gas tank this morning. when I swiped my frequent filler card at the pump, I found out I had earned a 20 cent/gallon discount. IMMD!
My boyfriend and I live 113 miles apart and what with us both being students, we don’t have time see each other. He had saved up over time to come and see me but the night before he was due to visit, his money was stolen. I was so upset and couldn’t stop crying for hours. Next thing I know I get a call from him telling me that he had sold his brand new xbox that he had just received for Christmas just to have the money to come and see me. I was so happy I started crying all over again, his selflessness and kindness totally MMD.

My dog needed to have surgery, but we didn’t have any money. So my parents were just going to put her down. However, the day before her surgery, my brother gave my mom the money so she could have the surgery. My brother paying to save my dog’s life made my summer!
I'm struggling financially and I was upset at the repeated calls from bill collectors. My 7 year old son brought his piggy bank he's had since he was 1 year old and said 'mommy here, so those mean men will quit calling you and making you cry'. His concern and big heart MML.
