My 7 year old daughter and I had just come back from a trip to the east coast. As we were finally catching a meal after getting out of the airport, she said she wasn’t hungry. I begged her to eat something and started making airplane noises while saying "Here comes the airplane"! She looked at me grinning and said "Dad, you know I hate airline food!"

I was working at a preschool this morning when I hear one of the kids in my class singing the theme song from the show Cops. I turn and look and see one of my three year old male students pretending to cook in the play kitchen, sing Bad Boys, Bad Boys wacha gonna do. IMMD

I am currently undergoing Invitro Fertilization. The meds make me very moody. A couple mornings ago my husband was in a very bad mood. My 11 yr old daughter, rolled her eyes at him and said, "Dad, have you been sneaking Mom’s medicine?" He immediately turned red and stomped out of the room and my sassy daughter giggled and asked if that was a "good one?" IMMD

I do not have a good relationship with my father so when my 9 year old referred to him as "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" it made my day. Thank you JK Rowling!

Playing Batman Lego with my 6 yr old son was Batman and I was Robin. As I started to run for the first ladder. With a steely glare and a dead-serious voice he said, "Dad, Batman always goes first." IMMD

My 3 year old was playing with her LeapPad and in a cheerful voice it instructed, "Push the green GO circle and have fun." She replied quite seriously, "Don’t tell me what to do." IMMD
