Eater-of-cake’s Little Moment of Win

Aug. 14, 2010

I came home and my five-year old son said, “Dad, we made you a cake! It has kiwis in it.” My three-year old daughter said, “It’s a bikini cake!” My wife then said, “No, it’s a zucchini cake.” IMMD (though I wouldn’t have minded a bikini cake).

Hanna’s Little Moment of Win

Aug. 13, 2010

This morning my 45lb dog was crying in his sleep, having a nightmare. Promptly my tiny, 6 lb cat jumped over and nuzzled him awake. She then immediately curled up and fell asleep smooshed up against him; his own personal teddybear. IMMD.

I was walking home from school and saw this kid I babysit holding a flower. I said "Nice flower buddy, who’s it for?" And he said "My mom" So I asked him if his mom liked the flower yesterday, and he said "I ripped it up." I asked why and he said "’Cuz I’m a man and I gave her a plan for world domination instead. She’s working on it." The kid is 5. IMMD!

Jen’s Little Moment of Win

Jul. 11, 2010

We took the kids to the pool last night and when we were on our way home, my 7 year old asked if we wanted a happy ending. Hubby and I looked at each other, wondering where she would have learned that phrase. She added that we should get ice cream or a snow cone and have a happy ending to our fun night. IMMD

impulse’s Little Moment of Win

Jul. 9, 2010

I was attending my daughter’s Star Day at school, during which her classmates get to ask her questions. One boy asked what she wanted to be when she grows up. She answered, "a rock star," to which a girl followed up with, "like Hannah Montana?" My daughter quickly replies, "eh, she’s ok, but I want to be a rock star instead!"
