Amazing story of the clever cat who led RSPCA rescuer to her kittens

RSPCA inspector Jon Knight received a call to rescue a young cat who was thrown from a car in Cambridgeshire last month. The caller had been monitoring and feeding the cat, and managed to confine her in a green house. The cat was taken to a vet and treated for her injuries as well as fleas and worms, and given food. As it was clear she only recently had kittens, she needed to be returned to her location so she could get back to them as soon as possible.

Knight took her back to the green house and she started meowing at him. At first, Knight thought she was calling for her kittens, but he soon realized she wanted him to follow her. She led him across fields and gardens all the while calling back and waiting for him to follow. She led him to an old barn. Behind a sack of wood, there were four kittens.

Jolie, as she is now called, and her kittens are now staying at the RSPCA Block Fen Animal Centre. They will remain there until they are fit and healthy enough to be adopted.

“Jolie had been through an awful lot, but she showed real maternal instinct and determination, she really is a remarkable cat,” Kight said.

While at work today, I found a feral cat living outside with a litter of kittens. I went to the supermarket and bought some cat food, and a dish, and put some out for them. A few minutes later, after I’d gone back into my office, I watched the mommy cat eat her way through a whole can of cat food. Knowing that a mommy and her babies won’t be going hungry anymore really made my day

After losing two senior cats and learning the other two seniors have serious medical issues, my husband mentioned getting a kitten. My daughter wanted a Persian or Himi like one of our cats. However, when she learned a three-legged, one eared, mangled baby was now needing a home, she wanted him. "He is not the kitten I want, but I am what he needs." Hearing a 7-yr-old say this MMD. My husband said when the little guy is healed, a Persian buddy will be added. That really MMD!

We rescued some kittens from an industrial yard, and one didn't seem to be thriving and was actually losing weight. After bathing her and finding an abscess, we got her some antibiotics and today was the first day she ate all of her canned food – and even stole some from her sister!

i recently got a huge rot puppy. most people walk far far away from him due to his bark…however, when small kittens or children come up to him, he lays flat on the ground and crawls over to see them. pancake mode totally MMD

At the animal shelter where I volunteer I saw a big burly biker guy with tattoos adopting two tiny kittens named Bootsie and Snuggles. He told me he was going to rename them Vader and Voldemort. IMMD.

Earlier my cat came running up the stairs on my sidewalk with something fuzzy in his mouth, i thought he got a bird or something, turned out it was a tiny kitten that he sat gently in my lap and ran off, he did this 6 more times, turns out the kittens were his and he wanted to show them off IMMD
