Six weeks ago, I went to England with a group of other students for a course. My first week, I was incredibly lonely and homesick and felt like no one liked me. Now, at the end, we're all incredibly close friends and it's hard to believe I could ever have felt unloved. Making new friends MMTrip.

A girl at my school saw how I was dressed one particular day and burst out laughing, screaming insults about me loud enough for the class to hear. The teacher was doing nothing about it, and since I had no friends in the class I couldn't talk to someone. I held back my tears as good as I could. Suddenly, half the class just turned to her and started sticking up for me! Didn't even knew they noticed I was alive. It MMD!
I attended a funeral where the family brought the deceased’s dog to the services. The dog sniffed the casket and lay down under it, as she would under the bed. Seeing a family recognize that a 15-year-old dog, who joined the family as a puppy, needed to say goodby, i.m.m.d.

On my birthday, I was kind of sad that my best friend who lives in another country had forgotten my 16th birthday. When I checked my Facebook in the evening he had posted and MP3 to my wall, so I listened to it. He had actually recorded a song for my birthday! That was so cute of him, it totally made my day and week.

The other day I met up with my two friends at the local street fair, we got bored and decided to do something. They decided to get a box and write “Hugs 25 Cents” and carry it around selling hugs. Me being the anti-social, shy, introvert I am I just followed and watched for a while, eventually we got to one girl who had Down Syndrome and I decided to hug her hoping to spread some cheer. As I leaned down and hugged her I heard her mumble “I can’t believe guys are doing this for me.” This isn’t something that you usually hear and it really made me feel good. We spent the night giving out hugs, high-fives, and fist bumps. I had a lot of fun and we made over $32. I let my friends have the money but just seeing all the smiles and the laughs I could make by hugging random people really MMD and I’m glad it Made Their’s too.

At the beginning of 2011 my husband and I had to start relying on friends/family members for a place to stay since I took a HUGE pay cut at the end of last year. We’d moved 3 times in 4 months by the time we ended up at my parents hous, where we are currently staying. “Home” was the last place I wanted to be. This morning, however, my father greeted me with a gentle “Hey, Sweetie” and something inside me shifted. Suddenly I felt grateful for this opportunity to reconnect with my parents that I wouldn’t have had if our situation had been different. IMMD. IMML.
I was at an amusement park with my friends and no one wanted to go on the ride that I did, except my friend's little sister. She can be a real brat sometimes, so I didn't think it would be really fun, but I really wanted to ride it. It turns out we have a lot to talk about and we are both avid Memebase readers! Having an unexpected friend totally #MMD!
