Astronomer’s Little Moment of Win

Oct. 21, 2011

funny win story - Astronomer's Little Moment of Win

Today I finally went to the college near by to talk to the graduate student adviser for physics. I have a BA in Japanese and decided I wanted to change. I learned that I will be able to take a few classes at a community college and be considered for the masters program. I will get the chance to be an astrophysicist. IMMD and hopefully my life.

HammerOfRage’s Little Moment of Win

Oct. 9, 2011

I was an art student in college for five years, and had to drop out due to being unable to finish any of my work (I have a bad case of being manic-depressive, so I get awful mood swings). I dropped out two years ago, and couldn't even pick up a pencil without breaking down. Two days ago, I got enough courage to draw something. It's terrible and unfinished, but I couldn't care less; IMMD just knowing I can still work past my breakdowns.

Punch Happy’s Little Moment of Win

Oct. 9, 2011

I travel to college on the train and sometimes the ticket collectors punch our tickets with craft punches. On Monday we had an Australian ticket collector and she punched tickets with a kangroo shaped punch. IMMD

Anon’s Little Moment of Win

Oct. 8, 2011

funny win story - Anon's Little Moment of Win

“My girlfriend is three years older than me, and is graduating highschool this year. Last night, I was thinking about how hard it would be, not seeing her every morning and every afternoon before I went home. Though, through my sadness and tears, I found myself smiling and laughing at all the stupid, wonderful, great things we did together. I know this has no relevance to whatever thing happened in my day to make it, but I just wanted to say something before she was miles away in California where I won’t see her for another six years. Baby, I love you, and just seeing you every day MMD. I hope you’ll wait for me, ’cause I can’t stand to lose you.

Teo’s Little Moment of Win

funny win story - Teo's Little Moment of Win

Recently I've been stressed out after moving into college and struggling to get adjusted. One thing I absolutely love is the shakes, but the machine's been broken for most of my time here. Today, when I checked, the machine was fixed, and got my calming strawberry shake. Just drinking it and relaxing MMD.

mordeq’s Little Moment of Win

funny win story - mordeq

As a Feline Enrichment Tech at the Denver Dumb Friends League , I meet a lot of troubled kittehs, but a while back I met little Thai who had been classified as extremely fearful. When I got to know him, I realzed that he wasn’t hiding under his blanket out of fear, but out of depression and a feeling of rejection! I decided to check his bio and discovered that he had lived with a family member for seven years untill they got a new kitteh and decided to ditch him. Then, as I was working with him one day, a nice little college girl saw how lovingly he responded to loving attentions and asked me so I told her his story! A few hours later I saw that she was standing in front of his window card, so I went over and she told me that she was going to adopt him, and make sure that he NEVER FELT REJECTED AGAIN! IMMD and I suspect that it made little Thai’s LIFE!

Lonely College Animallover’s Little Moment of Win

Sep. 16, 2011

I moved out to college yesterday. Already, I find myself missing home. Not because of my family, but because of the amazing pets I left behind. Today on Facebook, I put "I miss my dogs" as my status. An hour later, I come back to find my younger sister posted over twenty pictures of all our animals. Normally, we don't get along, so IMMD.
