“For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love.”
-Carl Sagan

I came off my bus after an extremely hard day, and when I get off, there is newspaper scattered EVERYWHERE. On the sidewalk, the grass, and even on the parked cars. I stop to clean and it takes me around 10 minutes. Right as I am about to put the wet wad into the trashcan, a man walks up to me thanking me over and over again. Turns out he is a landscaper who had just arrived to clean up the huge wet mess, and seeing his surprised and happy face MMD!!

Today i watched a small boy, no older then 7 walk up to an elderly man who was wearing army attire. The little boy looked up at him and said, “Did you fight in a war?”. When the older man said he did the little boy shook his hand and said “Thank you for your service”. Watching that old man glow with pride MMD

A small boy slams the gavel, finalizing his own adoption.

Deformed puppy, rescued from trash, learns to walk
A woman in Sanford, Fla. found a man outside a grocery store selling pit bull puppies. She noticed a squirming garbage bag next to the man and asked what was inside. Initially, the man told her not to worry about it. She pressed the issue and the man gave her the contents of the bag: a puppy so deformed, it couldn’t hold up its head. She took it to a local shelter where workers and veterinarians thought the best course of action was to euthanize the puppy. That’s when Erica Daniel, a regular at the shelter, stepped in.
At first, Daniel planned to take it home for a day of affection and love before it was to be humanely euthanized in the morning. The puppy began to recover from its condition that day. The puppy, now called Harper, had been born with swimmer puppy disorder, a rigor mortis-like condition causing puppies to lie flat on their stomachs with their legs splayed out. Daniel massaged Harper’s tight muscles hoping to alleviate some of the pain. Within a few hours, Harper could lift and move her head. Soon, she was able to move her legs as well.
Daniel cancelled the appointment at the humane society and made one with a veterinarian. Tests revealed that Harper’s organs were functioning fine, and she had no heart murmur or any serious brain abnormalities. The medical conditions she did have would require treatment, but Harper was going to live. Hip Dog Canine Hydrotherapy and Fitness in Winter Park Fla. donated free hydrotherapy and massage therapy after hearing Harper’s story. Today, Harper can walk, run, and keep up with the seven other dogs at Daniel’s home.
“Her brain kicked in and by the end of her first session, she was like, ‘Oh, I can do this,’” said Bev McCartt, a Hip Dog therapist. “She’s a walking miracle. She’s a real testament to a dog’s determination to get up and just go.”

Trainspotting Cat Waits Daily for Owner at Trainstop
Graeme, or “Train Cat” as he is now called, has become famous in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia for dropping off and picking up his owner at the train station every day. Each morning, Graeme leaves home and accompanies Nichole Weinrich to the platform and returns to the station when she comes back. While there, he can usually be seen sunning himself nearby and being pet by other travelers. One man describes Graeme as regal and aloof, “but in a nice way.”
“He always seems to know which train carriage I am on and will be sitting there behind the yellow line when the doors open… because he is all about safety,” Weinrich said.

When I was six years old, my dad told me to rake the leaves in the yard for the first time. I had my own me-sized rake and he came out to help me and show me how. After we finished, we had a big pile of leaves. My dad chased me around the pile and then picked me up and threw me into it. The leaves were so soft, and I just remember laughing so hard. I still think about that day. Dad, you always mmd.
