I was hanging out with some friends and another friend passed by. We said she should join us but she said she had to go because she had a kitten in her car. I got all excited and she asked if I wanted to meet him. I followed her and she said she was fostering him until he could be adopted and that he had bronchitis and so couldn’t be around other cats. I got to hold the kitten and he clung on to me really tight and made the cutest little meow-sneeze. I just held and petted him and he started purring. Where I live I can’t have any animals so getting to hold a kitten again MMD.

IMMD Special Animal News: Help for Willy

funny win story - IMMD: Special Animal News

Willy is a three-month-old kitten at the Henry County Humane Society. A woman let her dog out and didn’t know Willy was in the yard. The dog attacked him, and he needs surgery. The Henry County Humane Society is a small rural shelter already overwhelmed with medical bills from several other injured animals that came in this week.

Thanks to donations from people all over the country, they have been able to surgically remove Willy’s eye and he is recovering nicely. He is scheduled to receive surgery for his jaw soon, and the humane society has a potential adopter lined up.

I wore my Star Wars t-shirt to the YMCA today, and as I was coming down the stairs from the locker room, a group of 4 to 7 year old kids from the day care were coming up. I had no fewer than five little boys (and a little girl or two) tell me 'Lady, I like your shirt', and IMMD.

After a serious car accident, I was bedridden for a week from the injuries. My fiancee's black cat, who is usually not a people kitty never left my side except to use the restroom and eat. Since then she has become my little shadow and has MMD every day!

Cable Guy Augustin Arreguin Saves San Antonio Boy From Drowning

Augustin Arreguin is an installer and repairman for Time Warner Cable. He was finishing up a job on Tuesday and was just about to leave when he heard screaming coming from the pool area at a nearby apartment. He ran to help and jumped over the pool gate to see what was wrong. Witnesses saw the boy lying face down in the pool. By the time Arreguin got there, the boy was out of the water but not breathing.

“His face was all blue. It was pretty bad,” Arreguin, a foster parent, said. “All I could picture was my own son — he’s six and almost the same size — and that this was the worst thing that could happen.”

Arreguin gave the seven-year-old boy CPR for “what felt like forever.” By the time paramedics arrived, the boy was breathing again. He is expected to make a full recovery.
