CindyLu’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 29, 2011

I was waiting in line at the Starbucks drive-through this morning when the pickup in front of me suddenly started smoking. They pulled out of line and I saw they had a broken fan belt. When I got to the window, I offered to pay for their coffee and the clerk at Starbucks said it was on him. I drove around the parking lot and delivered his free mocha. Helping a guy who was having a bad morning MMD.

Avada kedara’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 29, 2011

The doorknob to my bathroom is very difficult having broken it several times. Today I really had to go to the bathroom and the knob wouldn't budge. Getting frustrated I muttered "Alohomora" under my breath and the door came open on the next twist my little Harry Potter moment MMD

Jonas’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 29, 2011

The neighbor college kids must think they are uber leet hackers breaking into my completly unsecured wireless. Unfortunately they forgot the connection works both ways. Long story short, they now got all files I could download within one hour from p2p tagged with "bestiality" on their computers. I hope it makes their day too.

Operation Heroes And Hounds Matches War Veterans With Death Row Dogs

“After serving in the Marines, Sonny Patrick found herself struggling with homelessness and alcoholism. But once she made friends with Sarge, a small mutt saved from ‘doggie death row,’ she felt her life take a positive turn.

‘It’s great he’s here for us. We’re all just one dog, one hug away from a better world.’

Patrick participates in Operation Heroes and Hounds, a program supported by veteran-advocacy nonprofit New Directions.

The program saves dogs deemed ‘unadoptable’ by local pounds and matches them with war vets who are finding it difficult to adjust to civilian life. The veterans help acclimate the nervous or untrained dogs to become adoptable by training and nurturing them.”

Linaloo’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 29, 2011

I was driving past a church in a small village near where I live in Scotland and saw a poster outside – it was the Transformer logo, with a cross incorporated into it, with the words "Be Transformed" – the attention to detail (correct logo and font used) made the geek in me rejoice, even though I'm an atheist.

Aaron’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 29, 2011

I'm a transgender FtM who is, at this point, just trying to pass off as a guy (I haven't started any treatment yet). Today in class we had a sub and I introduced myself as my preferred name: Aaron. She looked down at the clipboard and asked if I meant "Erin" (my birth name). I told her no. She didn't correct me, ask me what was wrong with me, or make me feel bad. Her acceptance MMD.

Jit’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 29, 2011

I was in a major airport on an academic thing, and being a broke university student, really struggled with whether I should buy food or do without before the long flight back. When I got in line, I let a woman go in front of me just because I was looking at the menu. When I went to pay, the clerk said, "No need, that woman said she was having a rotten day and she wanted to thank you for letting her go ahead." The free dinner MMD but the fact I MSomeElse'sD MMD even more.
