Megz’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 31, 2011

My boyfriend's band was playing a show and as usual I was going crazy back stage (I work as a stage manager). At the end of a song I was thrown onto the stage by the techies in time to hear the band play my favourite song. When it was done my boyfriend put down his guitar and got down on one knee. Getting the perfect fairytale proposal MMLIFE!!! I love you Pete!

queenpwb’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 31, 2011

Today while at my neighbours a foxhound came walking up the street. She said she saw him earlier and he was running on a busy street. When he got closer to me I was able to catch him. After posting on different sites about a found dog a friend of his owner emailed me with the owners number. After looking and hoping for his owner, she came and picked him up. Knowing I got a dog home to 2 kids that missed him totally MMD!

StrongerthanwhoIwas’ Little Moment of Win

Mar. 31, 2011

My mom has always thought I was worthless, even though from a young age, I was the one cooking dinner and cleaning the house. She always tears me down. But today, when she was telling me that she wishes she could go back in time and raise me again, to change who I am, I looked at her and said in a calm voice, "maybe you should go farther back and change yourself first, mom". Then I walked away. The fact that I stood up to her for the first time in 18 years MM life.

Burr Ridge designer helps homeless Miss Colorado find a gown

“A dream came true for Blair Griffith when she was crowned Miss Colorado in October. That dream turned into one nightmare after another. In November, she and her mother, recovering from a recent heart attack, were evicted from their home. Two months later, Griffith found herself jobless as well as homeless.

Dress designer Mac Duggal of Burr Ridge said he knew something wasn’t quite right when he met with Griffith and several other Miss USA contestants in Minneapolis in January. Weeks later, when he heard Griffith’s story, Duggal said it took him ‘about two seconds’ to decide what had to be done. He invited Griffith to his Burr Ridge showroom, where Tuesday she tried on gown after gown in search of the dress she will wear at the Miss USA pageant in June.

‘This country is made of dreams,’ said Duggal, who moved to the United States from India. ‘This is a place where dreams come true.’”

The Sister I Never Had’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 31, 2011

I just got a flight to see my first grandchild. It never would have happened without my best friend (and her family) that I met in Kindergarten. Her family has always treated me as one of their own, and when they knew I'd never be able to see my new granddaughter on my disability income, they offered me the flight. Their generosity has always Made My Life.

Iri696′s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 31, 2011

I had been worried about my new boyfriend seeing the scars on my wrist. He noticed them one day while we were snuggling and holding hands. He asked why I did it, and I said with a sigh, "A lapse of sanity." To which he replied, "I'll be your sanity." There have never been four simple words that made me feel better than I did at that moment. IMMD.

Twinalterego’s Little Moment of Win

Mar. 31, 2011

I was bummed out when I discovered a hole in my favorite pair of jeans but not surprised since they were 3 years old. I went out jeans shopping today and found a pair in the clearance section that fit really well but didn't have a price tag. When I went to a checkout register to find out how much they were, they rang up as 47 cents! Totally MMD.
