I got in my car to run some errands and noticed that one of my headlights was out, so I stopped by my mechanic’s to have it fixed. It usually costs about 40 bucks, so I pulled out my debit card and asked how much. The cashier said their computer was down and asked how much cash I had. I opened my wallet and told him 16 bucks. He grinned and told me, “That will be exactly sixteen dollars, please!” I got a 25 dollar discount and IMMD!

Today on the train, there were no seats left, so I was forced to wait in the “corridor” between carriages. The doors were closing and I saw a teen girl running full pelt at the train yelling “Wait!” I stuck my hand out and stopped the doors from closing so she could get on in time. Her thanks and smile TMMD, but I wasn’t sure who was happier when she offered me half a sandwich. I’d had to skip lunch and breakfast, so her karma returned TMMD!

A teen aged acquaintance of mine posted a status update saying she was tired of anti-LGBT bullying at her school. I sent her a few helpful links and encouraged her to find a way to support those who were being hurt. The school district’s first Gay/ Straight Alliance meeting was held this week, thanks to her initiative. IMMD!
My daughter lost her Nintendo DS almost 9 months ago and blamed it on her little sister. Last night, the dog stole a candy bar off the table. In our hunt under the couch to find the candy bar, we noticed the dog had ripped a hole in the lining of the couch. Hiding inside was her DS, the case, the games, the candybar, and numerous other things. My older daughter apologized to her sister and then snubbed the dog. It made me laugh and IMMD.
Yesterday, the last day of school before winter break, the school band paraded around the school playing music. When my theater Teacher heard, he didn’t just walk out of the classroom to listen, he skipped along right beside the band. So did the rest of my class and I. And so did the rest of the school when they saw us. IMMD!

Today we had Secret Santa at work. While most people got novelty presents, some kind soul gave me £5 with a hand drawn ‘this entitles you to £5 off your next fencing class’ voucher, featuring stick fencers. Fencing is the only time I get to have fun as I work long hours and don’t know anyone round here, and their thoughtfulness MMD.
It has been snowing in England this weekend and today I had to go out to do some shopping. As I was walking (slowly so that I didn’t slip)along the street, a man, who was walking very quickly, overtook me, tutted at me and told me I need to walk faster. Around 5 seconds later, he slipped on the snow and I got the chance to smile sweetly at him as I walked slowly by him as he was on the floor. Fortunately, he wasn’t hurt. His arrogance and subsequent fail MMD!!
