My friend’s facebook status today read: “When a student passes you a note on your third day of class, you’re like, “That’s cute, and weird.” When you open it up and it says, “You are wearing 2 different shoes. Just wanted to let you know!” you give that student five extra credit points out of shame and gratefulness.” (She wore different flats!) IMMD.

Gratitude… I’m so glad all the teachers I’m friends with can spell in their fb posts. Although, if that were a word, it looks like it might be correct…
According to Webster and dictionary.com, it is a word. Although I agree that gratitude, for lack of a better term, sounds better.

How is gratefulness not a word?

HAHAHA. This is just all sorts of “win.”
One day, just as I got into the elevator in the building where I worked, I noticed that I had on one brown shoe and one black shoe. I figured I would talk to my co-worker in our two-person department, and ask him to cover for me while I ran home and changed. He met me at the door, and said, “I just noticed that I have one black shoe and one brown shoe; could you cover for me while I run home and change?” I LOLed and pointed to my own feet. We decided that if anyone noticed, we would say it was department policy. It made the day for BOTH of us!
I remember one of my teachers doing that in high school cause he said that he got dressed in the dark and was running late.
My sweet hubby gets dressed in the (mostly) dark to avoid waking me early in the morning. The poor guy has ended up wearing different colored shoes to work on more than one occaison!
Failbook anyone?
My lit professor came to class in socks one day, before we even got the chance to ask him why he told us. He’d gotten dressed and as he puts it “was looking fly” with his grey suit. Gets to his office looks down and sees brown shoes. He’d rather wear black socks, than brown shoes. I LOLed.
