It Made My Day

Xaeraz’s Little Moment of Win

I took pre-calculus my sophomore year, and our teacher gave us a test towards the end of the year. My friend didn’t know the answer to one of the questions, so he wrote “I don’t know, so here’s a dinosaur,” and drew a triceratops. a couple weeks later, he gets it back, and our teacher has replied “Here’s mine,” and added a T-Rex. It made our day.

I did that exact same thing in my general studies exam! I also wrote an acrostic poem about general studies and gave the examiner some life tips.

    I got a U.

Paleontologists ruled recently that Triceratops is not really a dinosaur in its own. Apparently, it’s a juvenile form of Torosaurus. :(

But it’s okay, Triceratops. I’m not a dinosaur either.

“But it’s okay, Triceratops. I’m not a dinosaur either.” You just made my day :)

Actually it’s Torosaurus that’s “not really a dinosaur.” Triceratops was named first, so the name Torosaurus, despite referring to more mature specimens, is considered a junior synonym.

I totally do this on every assignment where I don’t know the answer.

Haha. I remember when Triceratops was a dinosaur….

Also, I hope your teacher gave you bonus points. Generally, if I don’t know, I’m just honest, eg. “I blanked and I got nothing else…” However, in a Classical Mythology class, I couldn’t remember the ending in order to answer the quiz question, so I completely made something up – pink flamingos and belly dancers were involved. When I got my test back, my teacher wrote “bonus points for creativity.” Lol.

I’m in my Freshman year of high school and I’m taking pre-calc, but I doubt my teacher would accept a dinosaur as an answer. She’s just not cool like that.
