Math rocked’s Little Moment of Win

Back in high school we used to use the schools T183 graphing calculators in math. I would always type a joke or funny quote on it before handing it back at the end of class. Whenever I borrowed it again, my teacher had always typed a new joke or funny quote back. It always MMD.

    umm… T183 = TI83 …?

  2. Person says:

I have a TI83 calculator. With that calculator and every calculator I used, I assigned 42 to the letter I and every other letter was 1 so if I typed in “LIFE,” “UNIVERSE,” or “EVERYTHING,” I would get 42!

  3. Lei says:

That’s so much more fun than doing what those calculators were actually for! (Math did not rock for me.)

  4. brightspot says:

I once got a calculator that said “Hello, Dave” when I turned it on. The sad thing is, when I laughed and told the class why I was laughing, no one else in the class understood the joke. Sigh.

  5. Molly says:

brightspot, that’s freaking hilarious. We were required to buy our own, and I always programmed mine to do useless shit like that. Is it any wonder that I failed math a bunch of times? Even after I figured out how to make the stupid thing solve the problems FOR me.

You were required to buy your own $100 calculator in HIGH SCHOOL? Can they DO that?

(Unless you mean college, or if you went to private school. Then they can do what they want.)
