Upon learning there is a character in Grey’s Anatomy called "Arizona", my Australian partner asked why Americans keep ridiculously naming themselves after states in the USA. I turned to her and said "Umm, Victoria?". It still took a few seconds for her to realise she has the same name as a state in Australia. IMMD

Today, when trying to convince my dad to allow me to go to a party, I used his line "I know you remember when I used to fit in the palm of your hand, but I’m not that size any more, I’m 16!" And he said, "I know, now you’re the size of a police report!" IMMD
