Richie,
Please thank your geography teacher for me — this is such a wonderful thought that I am going to put it in my writer’s notebook and share it with my students! Credit will go to “Richie’s Geography 101 professor.”
and who says they’re not huh? maybe they just time their dancing according to the wind ever think of that? trees aint as dumb as you might think
The wind is their music and when they hear it, they GOTTA DANCE! Why the hell not?
I’d like to think they’re dancing anyways… just ‘cus they can!
That is exactly what I used to think as a child! I thought the trees were dancing so wild, they even caused the air to move.
When my daughter was about a year, she used to wave back at the trees waving to her in the wind.
I thought wind was caused by trees SNEEZING.
You have a very poetic Geography professor.
It reminds me of the Dryad and the grass in Secret of Mana.
“If I didn’t understand the concept of wind, I would think the trees were dancing!”
That is the best metaphor for religion I have ever seen.
