I was sad when they made us change cubicles at work as I really liked the people I sat with. Feeling glum, I was organizing my stuff when I saw that the last person left me a package of dinosaur shaped fruit snacks. Thank you, mysterious 6th floor dinosaur snack ninja! IMMD

Now I know how the dinosaurs died out, NINJA!
dinosaur snack ninja is now the best title ever.
The most honorable position an internet junkie could hope to ascend to. It’s sorta like demi-godhood.
Awwww. I hope your new cubemates are half as nice.
That’s probably one of the best things about moving into a cubicle or office someone else just recently left. You never know what they left behind that you could use. When I was first hired by the company I currently work for 8 years ago, after the guy I replaced left, he had left behind a whole stockpile of candy and snacks, some of which I threw away because I didn’t like what he had left behind, and he had also downloaded and printed out a couple of books, one being a Sherlock Holmes story (“Hound of the Baskervilles”, I think), and Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart”.
When another co-worker was fired last September, a third co-worker was to move into the fired co-worker’s office. She had asked me to clean it out and take what I needed. There was a large box of assorted binder clips and paper clips. I had bought some small drawers I have on my desk, sorting out a lot of the supplies not just by type, but by size (I’m a bit of an OCD Aspie), and a large cardboard box under my desk filled with binder clips. I don’t think I’ll be running out of binder clips or paper clips anytime soon.
Hey I planned on eating those a lunch…
Darn it, so THAT’s where my fruit snacks went!
…oh well, enjoy!
Fruit snacks are always better than what this guy got:

Nearly every office supply I have, I have gained by someone leaving and raiding their desk. Never snacks though – win for you!
When a co-worker was fired last September for some stupid thing she did, another co-worker moved into her office, but didn’t want all the stuff that was left in there. I went in there and did a major cleanup, and now I have enough pens, markers (one of my regular jobs is to color plans and plats for land acquisition), paper clips, binder clips, staples, and rubber bands to last me a lifetime. I have a large box full of assorted binder clips, that never seems to empty out. I restock a couple of small drawers I use to put them in, but I still get a bunch from files turned in to me. I’ve probably got enough paper clips to make a chain about a mile long.
I had a shit week last week, and have been sick all this week. But when I read about the ninja, I laughed so hard I cried. THANK YOU!
