At first, I wondered why you said “this random lady” because all customers are seemingly random, but her actions prove that adjective right.
Sometimes I see strangers that have awesome hair or stuff like this and I really would like to tell them but then shyness and social conventions stop me from being a weirdo giving surprise ninja compliments randomly…

A man went out of his way and ninja flattered me a few years ago during a really, really crappy day. He was so sincere and so embarrassed about the thought of creeping me out that he wasn’t at all creepy, and IMMD.
