Just because Mistletoe called you out on your demeanor on a forum doesn’t mean you have to get your panties all in a bunch.
I guess the person who programed that bot didn’t anticipate that kind of response.
What you should have done is ask the spambot if it had seen the movie “The Land Before Time.” If so, ask if they cried when Littlefoot’s mother died. If they answer “yes”, then more than likely they’re not a bot. You can’t use the “Futurama” episode dealing with Fry’s dog, because even a bot would cry at that.

I had a chatbot try to trick me into thinking they were a real person. Except they’d reply in the exact same way any time you used the word “bot” at all. “Hey, what do you think of robots?” “Sorry, I’m no bot.” “What if I were to just say the word bot?” “Sorry, I’m no bot.”
After about 10 minutes of such nonsense, it then replies “HAHA, tricked you! You’ve been talking to a bot the whole time!” No, really?
He’s not a bot… to admit that he’s stupid.
I would have simply said “no”
