It Made My Day

Driving home waiting to turn into my apartment complex I noticed a skinny, pale, heavily tattooed man holding up on coming traffic. After realizing it was my boyfriend I looked in horror trying to figure out what he was doing. I called him from my cellphone and he told me to look at his feet. A momma duck and six ducklings where trying to cross the street to the creek. He said “they couldn’t reach the crosswalk button.” IMMD

Little does your boyfriend know those are actualy my robotic assassin ducks. As soon as they reach the creek they will swim to Wisconsin and murder anyone wearing a cheese hat. -That Man

I stopped traffic for a couple of ducks once. It was great – until the ducks stopped in the middle of the road. Some doofus honked at me to move, and the duck and her babies got scared and wouldn’t move. Cars kept pulling up, yelling and blaring their horns. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, a cop drove up! I thought I was going to get arrested, but he came up to me and said something epic: “Sir. Let a professional handle this.” The cop then guided traffic around until the street was empty, and then he even helped me get the ducks across the street!

Best of all, when I tried to thank him, he shook his head. “Proud to protect, honored to serve. Even ducks.” IMMD

    God bless our everyday heroes.

My boyfriend and I stopped traffic on a busy street one day to pick up a little turtle on the side of the road heading right for the cars.

He was an angry thing, but we took him to the park on the other side and put him near the pond. Made me feel really good, and some skaters there videotaped us from their ramps and were hollering and cheering… it was silly. =]
