After having 3 teeth filled I realized I had just replaced weak diseased tissue with a stronger, artificial composite that is chemically bonded to me. I am one step closer to being a cyborg. IMMD

… Lol omg you just made fillings awesome. (Y) – Sammi

Be careful you don’t become a cyberman! ;D

First time I ever felt like getting teeth fillings! 8D
Come with me if you want good oral hygiene.
What do you think your fuckin JP from Grandma’s boy?! fail
FUCK YEAH!
It’s not as good as it sounds. I have eleven metal pins in my hip and shoulder that set of metal detectors and some of the anti-theft devices at some stores.
For cyborg fans, that might be worth the trouble.
“Our alarms have picked up a terminator in the shop!” :’D
“off”
and why did you post this inanity exactly?
I think this ‘inanity’ is better than a lot of the IMMDs.
Next step: Eat foil.
You’re not becoming a cyborg. You ALREADY ARE A CYBORG. Just mostly human rather than about 50:50. And I am too! Go cyborgs!
I have FOUR composite pieces that replaced my wisdom teeth. That must make ME the strongest of the cyborgs!
So then- by this theory, Because I had the wrap around headset retainers in grade school, I was a step closer to growing an exoskeleton!
I have metal rods attached to my spine. Are these things cool now?
What about artificial hips? Also cyborg-worthy?
I’ll think of that when I go to the Denist. It’ll make it less scary.
That means I’m a cyborg as well! AWESOME
Yea, but us cyborgs require maintenance. I just had my old silver filling replaced with a new ceramic one. FML
its not ceramic… its composite… two totally different things…
This comment made my day!
OMG, I’m a cyborg too! Booyeah. I want a built in lazer cannon. This toally made my day.
I sooo tell people I’m part cyborg too! Mine is from my titanium dental implant (it’s a little metal rod that nearly hits my sinuses). Dentistry leading to becoming a cyborg FTW!
Remember: Resistence is futile. You WILL be assimilated.
Wow. I have been putting off going to the dentist forever because I suspect I have a cavity but cannot stand the sounds of the drill, etc. You have totally made it possible for me to endure the filling process. Thanks!
bring ur ipod with you, you can listen to music while there and not hear a thing!
(i work in a dental office)
funny thing…….. teeth arent tissue.. >.>
My husband has started introducing me as either his “Six Million Dollar Wife” or “Bionic Woman” since I have an implanted medical device (intrathecal pump) and fused spine (titanium rods and screws with bone-growth hormone coated carbon fiber replacement disc spacers). Never thought to include fillings on the list of modifications.
And yes, the pump sets off all sorts of security alarms. I have to carry a card that has a warning written in 12 different languages. While the English phrase spells out how I have a medically-necessary implant that may set off some security systems, and that caution should be used with magnetic screening systems since there is a risk of shutting off the device, a friend who speaks Arabic recently told me the entire spiel in several of the other languages is “This device will set off your alarm systems.” Hope I can find an English reading security guard!
does that mean since i have a stronger material added on, my braces make me iron man?
