That doesn’t even make sense. Explain how that statement is false? I see people walking alone all the time. Just because I’m in the vicinity doesn’t mean I’m walking with them. Or did you mean something else entirely?

yeah, I know…I took ASL, but I dont understand why a deaf person would waste the time to sign it out…
Why would someone say it out loud?
He’s just saying that saying it takes far less energy to say it than to sign it. Even if both actions take negligible energy. Now that I think about it, I don’t think that anyone has slipped profanity in sign language as people often do verbally. I expect that is so because of the minimal thought process in some speech. For example, exclaiming “Ow!” is natural.
Signing is just as natural to deaf people as talking is to hearing people. Just like expletives can slip out of your mouth before you realize it, expletives can slip off fingers.
I’ve peers who babble (make jumbled grasping movements) and trail-off when drunk too.
It’s hilarious because it’s exactly what my 2 yr old nephew does when he’s too tired to keep siging.
It’s called lipreading. Everyone (hearing or deaf) does it to some degree or another.
