It Made My Day

The power went out at the library for about an hour. I couldn’t stop laughing when people would walk up to the automatic doors, almost hitting themselves because the doors did not open for them. IMMD

When automatic doors don’t open for me I just jump up and down in front of them until they finally do. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I just end up looking like an idiot.

All i think of is the windex commercials. Whole new definition to walking into a building.

You know…. If you’re approaching a library and the lights are out, and you smack into the automatic doors? You totally deserved it.

  5. princess-phoenix says:

You would think that visits to the library would make you smarter… but I guess that is only after you figure out how to get to the books inside :p

  6. Bob says:

Ah, libraries. All the information you need to pass a class, not survive the real world.

  7. Air says:

Panic ensued as some people found themselves stuck on the escalator..

  8. Carolina says:

I’ve had this happen in our library…nothing beats the Ph. D. who doesn’t realize electricity is what opens an automatic door.

  9. BucketBoy says:

I hope you don’t work there! Did no-one think to post a sign on either side to alert people that the door wouldn’t open?

Although, TBH, if I had been there I would have pretended not to have thought of it until I saw one GOOD walk into a glass door. That is the funniest thing ever discovered. Second is walking into anything else, and third is someone trying to do extra imaginary steps at the top or bottom of stairs.
